I'm at a loss for words... so a few photos for now... more to come! Suffice it to say, it was sheer joy for us followed by sheer terror for sweet mei sims.... and we are in love!
Rushton, I've been thinking of you three as I've been getting easy this morning. I could hardly wait to run in and check my computer to see if y'all had her yet! I will be praying that the next few days goes as smoothly as possible. Praise be to God for the promises He is fulfilling!

Wow!!!!!!!! Stephen, the kids and I just excitedly ran to the computer to look at the computer to see if there were pics of you and Mei Sims - and we shouted for joy when we saw them. Oh, our hearts melted looking at those precious pictures. And your blog from yesterday was so beautiful and encouraging to my soul. You are a great writer by the way. We are sooooo excited for you and can hardly wait to meet her one day. We love her already. I know God's glory is going to be displayed in her precious life. How cool to think people will hopefullly be drawn to be adopted into God's family through knowing Mei Sims and her beautiful adoption story. We pray that for Ford too! We love you all! Hallelujah! Bradford
She looks PERFECT in your arms! I am so happy for you guys! Can't wait to see how she did during the night! Hopefully she slept all night long! Can't wait to read the next post!
Been thinking so much about you guys and this day! SO overjoyed for you and sweet Mai Sims! Happy tears seem to flow so easily just thinking about you guys. What an amazing adventure from His heart to yours!
From your ShanWalt family - we prayed for you all in MMM that the LORD would comfort Mei with the knowledge of His love, through the reality of your love and your presence! praying foryou -
Dearest Rushton, I am so thrilled for you as you return to China to pick up baby Mei Sims, I will be praying for your while you are away from your little ones, and the day you will reunite and all be one big family... Carolyn Walthall Haber
Rushton- I don't expect you to remember me, but I know that we spent many weekends together at my grandparent's lakehouse during childhood. Brooks is my cousin. :) Anyway, to watch God move in the life of your family has filled my heart to the brim!! I have wept over His graciousness and sovereignty in the adoption of your precious daughter. To know that from the beginning of time, He had set apart Mei Sims...CHOSEN her to be HIS, to be your daughter, and a sibling to your children...it simply puts me in awe of His power and goodness and love. To God be the glory!
I used to love cooking and recipes.... 3 kids later, not so much time for that! This blog is now devoted to our journey to bring home our little girl and to going deeper with God in the process!
