Happy One Month Since Gotcha Day

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me,
because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes,
the oil of joy instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor. (from Isaiah 61)

I love these verses and they are all the more real to me as I see them played out before my eyes. In one short month we have seen Him begin to do all this and more for our little girl. Can't you just see it in her face?! Thank you Jesus for allowing Mei Sims to be "a planting of the Lord for the display of Your splendor!"

Of course, He is not finished yet!
We praise Him that He who began a good work in her will be faithful to complete it!

Happy one month! The difference in her face and spirit is amazing! And in such a short period of time! She is so beautiful.
